“I have a great deal of weight to lose and the enthusiasm to lose it. I have had setbacks along the way, but my coach has been there with encouragement and ideas that have helped me stay on track. I am losing weight slowly but together we have seen the progress and how it shows up in many ways besides the scale. For the first time in many years, I went through the entire holiday season without gaining a pound! I am accountable to her regarding my weight. I have a long road, but she keeps me focused on the progress now – the baby steps – and encourages me with a wealth of knowledge and most importantly by walking her talk. She is truly an inspiration.

My coach has had such a positive impact on my life. She has encouraged me to begin an exercise program, which I would not have done without her support. I began her spin class five years ago. She took a special interest in each one of us in the class and we became very bonded, to the point that I would get calls or e-mails if I was not coming to class. I have made very good friends in that group. The exercise has resulted in a decrease in my weight, lower blood pressure and better over-all eating habits. I will always be grateful for her.”

“I got involved in the Sutter Health Lifestyle Management Program in March of this year. I can’t say enough good things about my coach and the program in general. It changed my life! When I started I was depressed, confused, angry and felt like a victim with little control over my life. Physically I felt crappy all the time. After speaking with my coach she gave me some guidance, support, and encouragement and helped me set some goals for myself. Each week things got better and better. Now after only a couple months I feel like a totally different person. I am no longer a victim but a survivor and have many tools to put into use when I feel stress creeping up. I have lost weight, eat more nutritiously, feel better and enjoy all the relationships and social interactions much better now that my coach has provided me with support, encouragement, guidance and education that helped me make these changes. I understand that I was the one that had to make the changes but she was the catalyst that got it all in motion and the energy to keep the momentum up! “Had an appointment with my doctor and they were all stunned at my weight loss. He said go ahead and ease off the blood pressure meds but he wants to see me in a month to see the measurements after I go off it. Also he was pleasantly surprised about the walking 3 miles 5 times per week. He wants me to take a glucose test to see if the 115 number has dropped. All he seemed to say was congratulations over and over. Also my goal of 210 to 215 is an ideal weight. I CAN DO IT!!!!”
